My family and friends have been walking the neighborhoods of Constable Precinct 6 for several weeks now. My watch estimates that I have walked nearly 100 miles thus far. We have left a lot of literature and talked to many of the residents,
We have been chased by dogs and roosters, and the mailman has warned us not to go down a certain street because of a dog. We ignored him. We want to walk every street in the district and hear from as many people as possible.
The biggest concern seems to be the lack of patrols, especially at night.
When I am elected, I promise we will have as many patrols as our budget allows. We will work with HPD to make our district one of the safest in the City.
We are already succeeding in one regard because we seem to have a constable patrol tail us on occasion, but that is fine as it makes our streets safer.
We intend to walk every single street in Constable Precinct Six.
Art Aguilar is using his money to campaign. He does not want to be beholding to anyone but the community that he will represent.
It is time for change.
